Dr. Todd L. Stewart attended East Carolina University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He served four years of active service and upon completion; Dr. Stewart enrolled and graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he then completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Castle Point, NY. Dr. Stewart returned to serving soldiers at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY, Fort Lewis, WA, and Fort Bragg, NC. Dr Stewart then practiced for several years in Fayetteville, NC before volunteering for a period of active military service in Iraq. Upon completing this tour, Dr. Stewart returned home to North Carolina and started practicing in Charlotte. He is a member of the American Dental Society, North Carolina Dental Society, and Mecklenburg County Dental Society. He volunteers on a regular basis with ADA-Jenkins providing treatment to individuals who cannot afford it, as well as, the annual Charlotte Missions of Mercy. Dr. Stewart continues his military service currently assigned to a Medical Support Unit in the US Army Reserves. In his spare time, Dr. Stewart enjoys golfing, boating, and traveling.
Dr. Shirley Henderson, a California native, recieved her bachelor of science degree from San Jose State University. She then earned her doctorate degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She practiced several years in California before moving to North Carolina thirteen years ago with her family. She joined our practice in 2011, bringing more than 20 years of experience in general dentistry. She is proud to call North Carolina home and enjoys hiking, sight seeing around the state, reading and family activities.
